Lucknow IPL Team has shared a picture of Rumi Darwaza with the Twitter handle @TeamLucknowIPL.
The picture includes the official logo of Sanjiv Goenka group with the tagline-
‘Naam ke Haqdaar, Pehle Aap’ and ‘Naam Banao, Naam Kamao’ – clearly indicating that management has started its activation to search for a NEW & RIGHT NAME for the Lucknow IPL Team – in real Lakhnawi andaaz.

IPL 2022 – Lucknow IPL Team Ready to Roll: The promoters of the team already have experience of running the IPL team i.e Rising Pune Supergiants for two years and that is keeping them in good stead.
Team has already made key announcements in form of Andy Flower as team coach & Gautam Gambhir as the mentor of team.

Not only this but India’s whiteball vice captain KL Rahul is almost certain to be signed as captain for the Lucknow IPL Team.
“As a player and a coach, Andy has left an indelible mark in the history of cricket. We respect his professionalism and hope he will work with our vision and add value to our team,” RPSG chief Sanjeev Goenka tweeted.

- Coach: Andy Flower signed and announced
- Mentor: Gautam Gambhir signed and announced
- Asst Coach: Vijay Dhaiya signed and announced
- Captain: KL Rahul – announcement pending
- Title Sponsor: Confirmed deal with leading Fantasy Brand, announcement pending
- Right Chest Sponsor: Closed with Local Oil Brand, announcement pending
This means the duo from Punjab Kings, Andy Flower & KL Rahul will join hands to run Lucknow IPL Team.
Flower joined Punjab Kings in 2020 with KL Rahul working closely with him as the captain of the franchise.
During these two years, KL Rahul bagged the Orange Cap in IPL 2020 and missed the Orange Cap by a whisker in IPL 2021. However, with the lack of success, Rahul decided to part ways amid allegations of player poaching.
