IPL 2022: Ricky Ponting has huge expectations from Prithvi Shaw
The DC head coach was effusive in praise of Shaw and feels got a lot of talent. “If I look at Prithvi’s play he’s got every bit as much talent as I had if not more. And I want to be able to turn him into a player that plays over 100 Test matches for India and represents his country as much as possible,” Ponting said on DC’s podcast.
IPL 2022: Prithvi Shaw off to a scintillating start
- Shaw has had a dream start to IPL 2022 season. He has scored 160 runs in four games and has looked menacing in the power play.
- Against KKR, the right-hand batter scored 51 runs off just 29 balls. Shaw’s blitz at the top enabled a 44 runs win for DC
- Shaw set the tempo by taking on KKR opening bowlers and played the hook and cut shots well
- The DC opening batter’s runs have also come at a brisk strike rate of 170.21
- Now, he would be hoping to cash in on the start and help DC win more games
