The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place on 12th and 13th February in Bangalore where 590 players will go under the auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad retained 3 of their star players from the previous season including the likes of Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, and Umran Malik, and thus are left with a remaining purse of 68 Cr.

Kiwi star batter and skipper Kane Williamson was retained by SRH for a whopping price of 14 Cr while both Abdul Samad and Umran Malik were retained for a price of 4 Cr each.

1. Good Middle Order
With Abdul Samad as a good opener and Kane Williamson as a top-order batter, all SRH needs is a decent opener and their top order is set. However, the middle-order batting lineup for the Hyderabadi team is extremely important. The team needs to heavily invest in some young and talented overseas players to fill their batting order slot.

2. Wicketkeeping and All-rounders
Sunrisers Hyderabad needs a good hard wicketkeeping batter. This player, preferably an overseas player can work wonders with the middle-order batters and the strong top order of the team.

3. Powerful Bowling Unit
A strong bowling unit is also required for SRH. Out of the three retained players, only one, i.e Umran Mallik is a bower. To accompany this fast pacer, an overseas pacer is also required. Apart from the pacers, two domestic young spinners are required to complete a deadly bowling unit that can incur heavy damage on the opposition.
