It has now been confirmed by the owners of the Lucknow franchise that de Kock will be opening the batting order with skipper KL Rahul. De Kock who is an exceptional keeper will be the backup and the second keeper of the squad.

Lucknow is now forming a brilliant team after buying de Kock, Manish Pandey for 4.5 cr, star all-rounder Jason Holder for Cr, and Deepak Hooda for a price of 5.75 Cr. LSG now has a remaining purse of 33.15 Crores with which they need to complete their entire roster.

IPL 2022 Auction: de Kock to open for LSG with KL Rahul – Earlier in the auction, India opening batter Shikhar Dhawan was acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 5 crore. While Kagiso Rabada was sold to Punjab Kings for 9.25 crore. India batter Shreyas Iyer was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 12.25 crore and Mohammed Shami went to Gujarat Titans.
