Yuzvendra Chahal did not wish to be retained by RCB and thus will be part of the IPL 2022 Auction. He is looking for a hike in his IPL salary after he took the joint-most wickets in IPL 2021 with Rashid Khan—18 wickets. RCB had bought Chahal for Rs 6 crore in 2018. He has featured in 114 IPL matches and returned with 139 wickets at an economy rate of 7.59. He has already taken 8 wickets from 3 games for Haryana in Vijay Hazare Trophy in his bid to raise his game ahead of mega auctions.
Shivam Mavi
Former KKR pacer Shivam Mavi has once again proved himself ahead of mega auctions. He is the highest wicket-taker in Vijay Hazare Trophy after the first 3 games. He took four-wicket hauls while playing for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh and Saurashtra. The youngster has raised his game with 26 games where he took 25 wickets. He was bought for Rs 3 crore by KKR in IPL 2018. Now, he will be aiming for an appraisal in his IPL salary. His economy rate has improved over the last couple of seasons that makes him a good pick of powerplay overs.
Mayank Markande
Former RR bowler Mayank Markande might have failed to get opportunities in the last two seasons but it is unlikely to stop him from another IPL contract. He is making all the headlines for Punjab in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy with 9 wickets in 3 matches. He had taken 15 wickets in his debut IPL season and expected to repeat the same in IPL 2022. Bought for Rs 2 crore in IPL 2020, Markande is expected to make significant gains in IPL 2022 Auction.
Rahul Tripathi
Former KKR batsman Rahul Tripathi had a decent season in IPL last year. He has carried the form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. After guiding KKR to IPL 2021 finals, now the right-handed batsman has amassed 178 runs in just 3 matches at an average of 89. He has slammed a couple of half-centuries to ring bells to teams in search of a wicket-keeper batsman option. He had scored 397 runs in the last IPL season. Tripathi was picked for Rs 60 lakh in IPL 2020 and could reinstate his IPL salary to a significant amount.
Chirag Khurana
Besides established IPL cricketers, Meghalaya batsman Chirag Khurana is playing life-changing knocks in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He is the second-highest run-scorer after Ruturaj Gaikwad with 267 runs that features a couple of centuries and a fifty. He had also impressed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He had over 3300 runs in first-class cricket which features 6 tons and 17 fifties. The 29-year-old will be on the radar of IPL scouts.
