The India U19 Women’s cricket team began preparing for U19 Women’s World Cup with the T20 series against South Africa U 19 team. The women in blue won the series 4-0. Skipper Shefali Verma will look to lead the team from the front during the warmup fixture. IND-W U19 team will look to send a clear message with a solid performance in both the warm-up fixture.

India have been placed in Group C alongside host South Africa, UAE and Scotland. India U-19 will begin their campaign against host South Africa U19 in the very first match of the tournament. Meanwhile, Australia has named a strong squad for the U19 World Cup. At least eight players in the Australia U19 squad have experience playing in domestic cricket Down Under.
