Rohit Sharma, who will turn 36 in April, does not have age on his side. Hardik Pandya is viewed by the BCCI as a potential T20 captain. Significantly, the 35-year-old Rohit Sharma is currently serving as the team captain for India in all three forms. But because of the workload, he has repeatedly struggled with injuries and has occasionally joined and left the team.
The subject of divided coaching will also be a significant topic of discussion. Rahul Dravid has made the suggestion that his busy schedule has left him with a lot on his plate. The BCCI is considering a divided coaching role because the T20s have not produced the desired outcomes. Dravid will continue to serve as the ODI and Test team’s coach, and a replacement may be named for the T20 squad.
After five years, Rohit Sharma & Co.’s are set for a hike in their central contracts. The players will gain some advantages as BCCI collected sizable checks from the IPL Media Rights. For the 2022–2023 season, BCCI is considering raising annual retainership by 10–20%. Indian players have played more games over the past four years. Despite this, and even after the BCCI sold two more IPL franchises last year, they have not got any raises.

The council will also approve the appointment of a new selection committee.
At the same time, there is also a possibility of discussion regarding the problem of frequent injuries of players. So a review of Nitin Patel and India’s physios besides fielding coach T Dilip could be done in the meeting.
