Shikhar Dhawan walked out to bat on Monday wearing Shardul Thakur’s kit as India won the toss and opted to bat first. The left-hander, who usually wears 42 on his back, sported Thakur’s 54 alongside his name. It also called for a few moments of delay to start with the umpires taping the name before allowing the action to begin.
