Coming to bat at No. 3 Gill showcased his brilliance with the bat. The youngster took charge on the Zimbabwe bowlers to launch a deadly attack. It took Gill just 82 deliveries to score the century. Gill formed a decent partnership with Shikhar Dhawan and then built on a great inning with young wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan as India plans to register a big target for Zimbabwe to chase.
Prior to Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have scored a century in Zimbabwe. KL Rahul scored the century on his debut in 2016.

Shubman Gill has been one of the star performers for India in the 50-over format of the game. He registered his 4th fifty in just 6 innings.
