The whole incident occurred during the 43rd over being bowled by Shardul Thakur. The last duo of Miraz and Mustafizur were on the crease. Facing Thakur, Miraz sliced the delivery uppishly towards the third-man. However, Sundar stationed at that position seemed to lose the ball in the night sky as the ball landed just a few yards in front of him. To note, Rahul who was keeping the wickets for India, had dropped an absolute sitter just a delivery before. Perhaps that triggered Rohit on the field.
Bangladesh registers a sensational victory
Chasing 187 to win, Bangladesh were cruising at one stage. However, some poor display of batting from the middle-order meant that the Men in Blue get back to competition. With more than 50 runs required and just one wicket in hand, the visitors thought that the game was done and dusted. However, Miraz and Mustafizur had some other plans. With the luck favoring the brave, the duo put on the highest 10th wicket partnership for their country against India and sealed the game for the home side.
