IND BAN 1st ODI – India Practice Dhaka: Rohit Sharma & Co had their first practice session in Dhaka on Friday. But all eyes were on Virat Kohli who was on a break for two weeks following India’s ouster from T20 WC. Kohli, Rohit besides KL Rahul took a break from NewZealand tour. The team will now have their 2nd practice on Saturday as India switch to the ODI mode with the 50-over World Cup less than a year away in 2023. India Practice Session Dhaka: Team India arrived in Dhaka on Thursday ahead of their three-match ODI series starting on Sunday. Captain Rohit Sharma and superstar Virat Kohli were all greeted with an auspicious welcome in the Bangladesh capital. After a rather short journey, the Men in Blue will start their preparations on Friday.
Rohit Sharma and Co arrived in Bangladesh after a period of rest following the T20 world Cup. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and others arrive from New Zealand after their tour ended. Meanwhile, the series marks the first time India have a full strength team in ODIs since July.

While the Indian superstars started training back home, they will hit the nets on Friday to assess the conditions on offer. Rahul Dravid’s side has been dominant on the sub-continent. Hence, one expects them to come to grips with the surface early. The onus will be on the likes of Rohit, Rahul and Pant to get some runs under their belt in the series.
Virat Kohli also got among the runs in the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup. Nonetheless, eyes will be on him to break his ODI century drought. Dhawan’s strike rate remains a debate. While Shreyas Iyer, Rahul, and Suryakumar are all fitting for a solitary spot in the side. Moreover, bowling has no straightforward solutions either adding to Rohit’s conundrum. The training sessions are set to provide clarity to the team management.
