The annual conference will begin with the Chief Executives Committee (CEC) meeting on July 24. This will be followed by the Finance & Commercial Affairs committee meeting on July 25. The meeting will end with the annual general meeting which follows the board meeting.

BCCI to officially propose bigger window for IPL: The ICC meeting assumes significance since it could see the representatives of the BCCI propose the extension of the IPL window for two and a half months from the next FTP cycle-from 2024 to 2032.
It’s like that the Indian Board’s proposal for a bigger window for the IPL receives a green light at the meeting.
“We are in discussions with the ICC (International Cricket Council) and several other cricket boards to have an exclusive window for the IPL,” BCCI Sec Jay Shah was quoted as saying by Reuters.
“Let me assure you that there will be a two-and-a-half-month window in the next ICC FTP (Future Tours Programme) calendar. It will ensure that all top international players can participate.
“Since this tournament benefits all … we have received a positive response from the ICC and other member boards,” Shah added.
Hosts for four marquee women’s global events in the 2023-27 period to be decided: The host venues for the women’s events will be finalised by a working group. This group comprise ICC directors who will arrive at a shortlist from the bids received.
The news coming in from ICC’s side is the world body has received 14-15 proposals from seven countries for the four events.
T20 Leagues vs international cricket: One of the key discussions the CEC could potentially discuss the influx of T20 Leagues. The domestic leagues have put some question marks on international cricket & the cramped windows.
In the near-completed version of the ICC’s next cycle of FTP (2023-27), the IPL is set to get an extended two-and-a-half-month window.
The conference agenda also includes finalising the process for the ICC chairman election, which is likely to take place in November.
