Chasing 205 runs for victory,  KKR looked down and out at 155/7 despite Venkatesh Iyer’s handy knock of 83runs.  With 29 needed of 6 balls, Rinku Singh stepped up and smashed 31 runs of Titans bowler Yash Dayal to take the team past the finish line. The left arm pacer also registers 2nd worst bowling figure in IPL  conceding 69 runs from 4 overs. Having lost the match from winning position, Titans will look to avoid repeating the same mistakes at Eden Gardens.

Gujarat Titans have recovered well, post Rinku Singh’s mayhem in Ahmedabad. The defending champions have won their last two matches. Kolkata on the other hand hasn’t been able to build on to the momentum, and has now lost four straight matches.

While Gujarat looks a more settled and in-form team going into the contest, Kolkata will bank on one more miracle to get them back to winning ways in IPL 2023. The match is expected to be a cracking contest.
