Epic Games is bringing back the original Fortnite Battle Royale experience with Fortnite OG. The Event is launching on December 6th. This nostalgic journey takes players back to Season 1 of Chapter 1, complete with the original map, loot pool, and gameplay mechanics.
FORTNITE OG is returning today
Players can relive the early days of Fortnite, including iconic locations, weapons like the Pump Shotgun and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, and the thrill of building structures. The game mode will feature Solos, Squads, and Zero Build, with Ranked Fortnite OG coming soon.
The loot pool for day one of Fortnite OG will be the same as the loot pool was on day one of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 1 Season 1 over seven years ago, with more items being unvaulted as Chapter 1 – Season 1 goes on. Here’s some of what you can expect:

Quality-of-life improvements like sprinting, sliding, and mantling will be available, while classic elements like Reboot Vans and sniper scope glare will remain. The original map will be faithfully recreated, and Zero Build will include Ziplines and Ascenders for easier traversal.

The Fortnite OG Pass offers 45 tiers of retro rewards, including iconic Outfits like Renegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber, and Skull Commander. Players can level up the pass by playing any Fortnite experience.
Fortnite OG Cups, unprized open cups with the original loot pool, will be available for players to compete in. This nostalgic experience offers a chance to relive the golden age of Fortnite Battle Royale and experience the game as it was originally intended.
