Max Verstappen created history at the Italian GP by winning 10 consecutive Formula 1 races. Today, we take a look at just how many records can he break in 2023.

Max Verstappen is in red-hot form in Formula 1 for Red Bull. He has won 37 out of the last 58 races and his win looks looking inevitable every weekend. He has broken records by legends like Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, and Lewis Hamilton. There are various other Formula 1 records that can fall to the Dutchman.

  • Most Consecutive Wins: He already has the record to his name now, having taken it from Sebastian Vettel. He could stretch the record to 18 in 2023 alone.
  • Most Wins in a Season: This record is held by Max Verstappen himself. He won 15 races last year. This year he could end up with 20 race wins in a 22-race season.
  • Percentage of Wins in a Season: Alberto Ascari won 75% of the races in 1952. Max Verstappen could win 90.9% of the races this year.
  • All-time Formula 1 Wins: With Sebastian Vettel on 53 wins, Max could find himself 3rd on the list by the end of the season. Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are still some distance away.

  • Most Poles in a Season: Sebastian Vettel bagged 15 poles in 2011. Max already has 8 and will need to take pole in all of the remaining races to beat it.
  • Most Podiums in a Season: Another record held by Max Verstappen himself, the record stands at 18. Max could have 22 podiums by the end of 2023.
  • Percentage of Podiums in a Season: Max could equal the 100% podium record of Michael Schumacher from 2002.
  • Most Consecutive Podiums: Michael Schumacher recorded 19 between 2001-02. Max could end with 23 by the end of the season.
  • Most Points in a Season: Max Verstappen scored 454 points in 2022. This year he could score 568, out of a possible 598.
  • Highest Winning Margin: Sebastian Vettel finished 155 points ahead in his Red Bull in 2013. Max Verstappen is already 145 points ahead.
  • Wins from Most Different Grid Slots: Max currently ties this record with Fernando Alonso. Both have won from 9 different grid slots.
  • Most Laps Led in a Season: Sebastian Vettel led 739 laps in 2011. Max Verstappen has led 661 laps already.
  • Most Consecutive Points Scored: Lewis Hamilton scored 998 points in a row. Max Verstappen has currently scored 793.
