Formula 1 Canadian GP LIVE: All eyes will be on Lewis Hamilton this race weekend as the 37-year-old races against time to be fit for the Canadian GP. The Briton arrived in Montreal having stepped up his rehab with a new hairstyle, which was instantly a hit among the fans. Hamilton was seen at the paddock in Montreal with trusted lieutenant Angela Cullen while sporting a flowery green shirt.

Hamilton was grateful to Cullen as she continues to help him out with his rehab following a back injury suffered at last week’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Mercedes ace revealed that it was one of the most painful races in his 16-year-old career, putting him in doubt for this weekend.

He posted on Instagram, “I am forever grateful to have Angela with me on the road, I would be lost without her. We’ve been working each day on stretching, acupuncture and cryotherapy to recover. I’m feeling much better and today I was able to do my first run. Pushing through.”

Mercedes chief Toto Wolff revealed that the seven-time F1 world champion was a doubt for this Sunday’s race in Montreal due to the bouncing. The FIA meanwhile have revealed that they will investigate why cars bounce up and down violently when they hit top speed. The result could bring further agony for Hamilton and teammate Geroge Russell, as FIA may impose strict rules to improve driver safety, further slowing down their car.
