Red Bull have been heavily linked with a collaboration with Porsche and even the company’s CFO Lutz Meschke has claimed that they will only work with a ‘strong partner’. “If we get involved in the top class of racing, then it will be with a strong partner,” Meschke added.

In May, Volkswagen’s CEO, Herbert Diess, affirmed Audi and Porsche will enter Formula 1 in the year 2026 except their accurate technique for entering the sport hasn’t been laid out.
Meanwhile, Audi was linked with McLaren but now they will look to enter the sport on their own. Whereas Porsche will work with an existing team present on the grid and Red Bull have been heavily linked with them.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner depicted conversations with Audi and Porsche as ‘logical’ when he was gotten some information about it prior to the season. “It is obviously great, the commitment that VW stated as the parent company to both Porsche and Audi that both have got the intent of coming into Formula 1.”

“We are starting a new journey as a power unit manufacturer for 2026 so, of course, it would be logical for us to have discussions about potential cooperation,” Horner added.
Meanwhile, Porsche’s CEO Oliver Blume made sense of why the group was hoping to get involved in the sport and even talked about the gain in popularity of motorsport.
“Last year, more than 1.5 billion TV viewers watched Formula 1. [It is] the sport that is gaining the most interest,” Blume added.
