There were lots of speculations about Hamilton’s future in motorsport after the controversial ending to last season’s finale race. The Abu Dhabi controversy still lingers on as Lewis Hamilton lost out on his record eighth Formula 1 title.

Whereas, Max Verstappen clinched his maiden F1 title from the hands of Lewis Hamilton. It was believed that Hamilton would wait till the FIA gives its detailed report into the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix before he makes any decisions about his retirement.
But, Mercedes posted a new picture on their Twitter handle of Lewis Hamilton with his number 44. This new picture from the team has confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will take part in the 2022 season.

He will put behind his 2021 heartbreak and will be all geared up for the new season. He shares seven F1 titles with Michael Schumacher and will look to surpass that feat.
But last year, Lewis Hamilton surpassed 100 Grand Prix victories. It is a record that will take a lot of time to break. Sebastian Vettel is the only driver on the grid who has 53 victories to his name.
Meanwhile, Toto Wolff had gone to the F1 Commission to share the evidence in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix investigation.

Formula 1 News: Lewis Hamilton is back
After the heartbreaking Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton took off from social media for almost two months. He then recently posted a picture on his Instagram handle, at the Grand Canyon. His caption said, ‘I’ve been gone. Now I’m back’.
This season, Lewis Hamilton will see a new teammate in the form of George Russell. He shifted from Williams to take the place of Valtteri Bottas. Bottas on the other hand will now be seen in Alfa Romeo’s outfit.
