F1 Monaco GP Live: Mercedes’ team principal Toto Wolff has backed Lewis Hamilton despite Russell’s brilliance, showing the faith the Austrian has in the seven-time F1 champion. Wolff will not give any special treatment to the youngster and said, “No, 100 percent no. One hundred percent we will allow them to race until a driver is mathematically out of contention, we’re not making such a call.”

Mercedes have made immense improvement since the last race. Spanish GP saw Russell taking the P3 spot and finishing on the podium. Moreover, after dropping down to P19 Hamilton made a scintillating comeback to finish P5.
