After claiming a 1-2 finish at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, the Mexican driver feels Red Bull is now ready to establish their dominance in the sport for years to come. “We still have a lot of problems to solve, but the main thing is that we are competitive and Red Bull is set to dominate the next few years with these new regulations,” the Mexican driver said.

“We should be leading both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles. It has been a difficult start but the team has worked hard to be on par with Ferrari, we have cut several points from Ferrari,” Perez further added.
Despite having multiple mechanical issues in the initial four rounds of the season, Red Bull have shown fantastic pace, and besides Ferrari, they are perhaps the only team to have shown pace that is capable of winning races.

With long-term rivals Mercedes lurking way behind, Red Bull have figured out how to open sufficient speed to permit Max Verstappen to have some sort of cushion to defend his title which he won at the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December. However, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc is currently leading the Drivers’ table. Meanwhile, Perez is in the third position with 54 points.
