F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali flew straight from Baku to South Africa on Sunday after the Azerbaijan GP to hold talks over a potential return of the Kyalami Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Africa is the only continent which is lacking a Grand Prix now.

The seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has spoken in favour of a race in South Africa, a place from where his ancestors belong. He has backed the decision for a race at Kyalami, which is situated north of Johannesburg.
Kyalami organized F1 races between 1967 and 1985, and again in 1992 and 1993. Meanwhile, it has as of late had its standards raised to the FIA norms expected to have a cutting-edge race, if it indeed makes a comeback.
The 2024 season was initially been viewed as the most probable return point for Kyalami. However, it is perceived that F1 is keen to get the race running in the 2023 season if possible.
