Then came the turn of the other Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc who on lap 20 retired his car as smoke started coming out from his vehicle. He was leading the race at that very moment but stopped on the track as Ferrari had a heartbreaking day. It is something unusual for such a big team to see both their drivers retire from one single race.

The problems didn’t finish for Ferrari then and there as two more drivers had to retire their cars from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The rookie driver of the season Guanyu Zhou was having a good time out on the track as he was fourteenth but a technical issue saw him bow out of the race.

Meanwhile, the last two races have seen the Dane driver retire and his best finish came at the season opener in Bahrain, where he claimed the fifth spot. The Italian team needs to find a quick fix to solve their issues if they have to fight against the likes of Red Bull.
