No End to Man Utd takeover saga, Red Devils to ‘new’ season under ‘old’ Glazers

The present Man United takeover story revolves around two frontrunners, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe but Glazers have different plans.

Manchester United’s takeover saga still continues like a famous Netflix series. Every month, fans wait for the final episode but Glazers come out with a new twist. It’s been 240 days to this whole takeover story and the club didn’t reach any conclusion.

In the last 6-8 months, fans and experts exchanged thoughts on potential alternatives for Man United owners. Glazers’ family found two clear bidders who remained the frontrunners in 2023. Still, the story fails to reach its finale.

The summer transfer window is coming to an end and in few weeks, we will see a new season going to start in England. Manchester United’s future is still in doubt as we don’t find the name of the new owner. Fans are frustrated with this slow approach and it was led by the Glazers family who still want a big stake in the club. It raises questions about the current owners and fans believe Glazers are not thinking about this club.

The present narrative revolves around two frontrunners, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Bot buyers are ready to agree on a deal but they are in waiting. It’s not clear who will be the next Man United owner. Ratcliffe was the frontrunner at one time because he fulfilled the demands of Glazers. But, the Qatar-based banker made a big statement as he wants full control of the club. Fans also want him as the new owner of the Man United.

Man Utd takeover saga to continue as the Glazers rethink their decision to sell, leaves Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe frustrated.

The question still remains high that why it’s taking so long to end the takeover process. Media outlets and experts are giving their different perspectives. The latest is the current Man United owners are not convinced that they actually want to sell.

If we look back at last year’s statement when they added an important part that reads, “There can be no assurance that the review being undertaken will result in any transaction involving the company.”

Manchester United’s takeover story is still in a different boat and Glazers have no idea where they want to reach at the end of the summer. In the middle of the river, the process is stuck. Avram and Joel are the hands-on operators, but being in the same room doesn’t signifies that the whole family would convey the same narrative.

Manchester United have invested amount in the summer transfer window and Erik ten Hag is also keen to come closer to Man City in Premier League. They signed Mason Mount from Chelsea, and goalkeeper Andre Onana made a move from Inter Milan. Ten Hag is planning to sign Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund next.

The club is considering the budget and they have decided to off-load few players in the summer. The process even started but still, they miss out the spark which is required to compete with Man City.

Apart from the summer window, the delayed process of takeover can break the patience of both buyers. Meanwhile, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will wait after reaching on this level. They are keen to take ownership but things are not in their favour.
