However, England’s joy was shortlived as three minutes later, Germany scored the equalizer. A Serge Gnabry shot saw Nick Pope spilling the ball from his clutches. Lurking nearby was Kai Havertz who tapped the ball into the net to score his brace. England tried their best to find the winner but ran out of time, thereby bringing the thrilling encounter to an end.
