Tuchel-Mane: Bayern Munich have had their season crumble right in front of their eyes this season. But, it doesn’t seem to have deterred the humor of Thomas Tuchel. The German coach joined the Bavarians at a crunch part of the season and that gamble hasn’t seemed to have paid off. The manager of Bayern Munich, Thomas Tuchel, surprised the Senegalese international as he stood with his arms folded and spoke to a member of the coaching staff. Tuchel creeps up behind the forward while the camera is focused on him in the center of the practice field and pulls one side of his blue shorts halfway down.
The 31-year-old, who was fortunate that his rapid reactions spared him any disgrace, gave his manager a severe look as he limped away as if nothing had occurred. One fan reacted to the clip on social media commented, ‘I don’t think Tuchel knows Mane long enough for this.’ Another wrote, ‘Man has lost the plot.’ While another said, ‘Lmao this keeps making me laugh with how simple and unexpected it is.’

The incident occurs just one week after former Chelsea manager Tuchel, who took over for Julian Nagelsmann in March, said the issues between Mane and Leroy Sane had been overcome. Sane and Mane were involved in a heated exchange during their game against Manchester City. Sane was believed to be left with a bloodied lip after the former Liverpool star reportedly punched him. Mane was fined and banned for one game.
Talking about the incident, Tuchel said, ‘That’s settled. A game and a fine are the consequences of what happened. I didn’t see it myself because I was in the coaching room. Of course, I immediately spoke to everyone involved, the players and the staff.’
He continued, ‘Because it concerned us and because it was a blatant incident, it was important that we clarify the matter before we start the next training session. We have cleared up everything so that we can train positively with each other again.’
Bayern Munich’s season so far
The Bavarians will probably feel that they have had a season to forget so far. They were on course to win the treble under the tutelage of Julian Nagelsmann, before the higher-ups at Bayern Munich decided to go down a different route. That too, during the toughest part of the season.

They decided that Thomas Tuchel would be the best option for them, if they were to land the treble. Nagelsmann was sacked and Tuchel was handed the responsibility of leading the team. It hasn’t quite worked out so far. Bayern were knocked out of the DFB Pokal Quarter-final stage, against SC Freiburg, as they lost 2-1.
In the Champions League, they had the tough task of beating a red-hot Manchester City, but they failed to deliver there too. They lost the first leg away 3-0 and only managed a 1-1 draw at home. Now, they are only competing for the Bundesliga title. They are one point ahead of Dortmund at 61 points, with 4 games to go. If Tuchel fails to win the Bundesliga, then this summer will have a lot of questions that will need to be answered by the Bayern board.
