Although, Mane’s former club Liverpool claimed they have no interest in signing him back, fans still believe he will be reunited at the club. Currently, Chelsea are the front runners to sign Mane as their to-be manager, Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing the forward to Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 from Liverpool at a reported fee of around €32 million (£27.4m). However, he failed to deliver up to the expectations. He has only managed to score 7 goals and add 4 assists in 22 games in Bundesliga this season. Mane’s off-the-field doing has also put him in trouble on a few occasions. He was suspended for 2 games after falling in an altercation with teammate Leroy Sane and was also not happy with former manager Julian Nagelsmann.

According to reports, the new Bayern manager, Thomas Tuchel is not happy with Mane’s development and he wants to offload the player. The German team are also looking for a new striker and Mane’s departure might help them in raising some funds for the team. But, despite having 2 years left in his contract, Bayern might not receive a heavy amount considering his current form and age.

Bayern are currently keeping an eye on the French striker Randal Kolo Muani and Niclas Füllkrug. Moreover, they are also looking for a replacement for Thomas Muller, and reports suggest Kai Havertz is their prime target. Although Havertz has played most of his matches in the central role for Chelsea, he is considered as Muller’s replacement. Tuchel and Havertz have worked together previously at Chelsea and both are aware of each other playstyles.
