It has been a fairly entertaining first half at the Le Classique. Both PSG and Marseille started the game in a fantastic fashion. Though PSG dominated the opening minutes they were quick to find the opening goal.

An atrocious assist from Marco Verratti found the path of Neymar who lobbed the ball above the Marseille goalie Lopez to score the first goal of the game. PSG needed a bright start and they go it.
Marseille was not eager to give up that easy. A brain fade moment from the PSG defense saw Marseille equalizing via Duje Culeta-Car as the scoreline read 1-1 in the iconic Le Classique.
PSG once again began their task from scratch. Minutes before the first half, Messi guided a brilliant ball at the back of the net but was ruled offside. Into the added minutes of the first half, Nuno Mendes was fouled inside the Marseille box and a penalty was awarded. Mbappe made no mistake to score as PSG headed into the tunnel with a slender 2-1 lead.
The second half of the game was quite uneventful except for a couple of incidents. William Saliba thought he had equalized for Marseille but unfortunately, the goal was ruled as offside. With yet another important game done and dusted, PSG are just a step away from picking up their Ligue 1 title.
