Premier League: Manchester United vs Liverpool – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has never looked convincing to be the right man to lead Manchester United towards success given his inexperience. His lack of Plan B when it comes to strategies that his competitors Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, and Thomas Tuchel have shown hasn’t gone down well with the fans either. After a crushing 0-5 drubbing at Old Trafford, the voices to remove Solskjaer have grown manyfold.

Manchester United came into the game with just one point from their last four games, languishing at sixth place with 14 points in the season. After the drubbing, they slipped to 7th and even Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence hasn’t been able to reignite the fire in United. Disappointed from the lack of response from the coach, fans took to Twitter and other social media platforms, demanding him to be sacked immediately.

Manchester United players didn’t show any attacking intent once they went behind, it was so easy for Liverpool to get at Manchester United’s midfielders as there was huge space in between the Manchester united full-backs and their wingers. In the 1st half there were waves of Liverpool pressure, which ultimately led to United’s collapse.

Premier League: Manchester United vs Liverpool – Despite David De Gea’s resurgence, United’s defence has been a major issue for them this season, they have been letting in easy goals, the team is not comfortable against set-pieces and is being easily out-run by the opposition. Liverpool fans stayed in their seats long after the final-whistle was blown, they cheered on their players and celebrated the historic win with Manager Jurgen Klopp, the fans certainly played their part in the victory. The Liverpool fans also bantered with Solskjaer at the end when they started singing the famous “Ole’s at the wheel” song.

Since the performances have not been on the level on which they should be, United fans have been crying for a change this season, with world-class managers like Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane currently without a club, United should look to recruit either. Both of them have had a lot of success in the past, playing good football. United fans not only want to see good results but also want their team play “The United Way”. With a fresh, world-class manager at the helm, United would have a much greater chance of keeping its best players and would start challenging for League and European titles soon
