Lionel Messi Transfer: Barcelona fans’ wish to see Lionel Messi back at Camp Nou has been crushed as the PSG star has reportedly made the decision to join David Beckham-owned Inter Miami in Major League Soccer (MLS). MLS & Miami combine to LURE Messi with BUMPER DEAL

According to The Athletic, Inter Miami managed to get Messi on board with the assistance of two major commercial partners, Apple and Adidas. The report has claimed that the Argentine is set to receive a share of revenue from Apple TV+’s MLS Season Pass as part of their collaboration.

On Tuesday, Apple announced that a four-part docuseries on Messi’s five World Cup appearances would stream on Apple TV+.

The report further added that Messi’s deal would include the option to purchase a percentage of an MLS team upon the end of his time as a player in the league, much like David Beckham’s contract with the LA Galaxy, which gave him the option to purchase an MLS expansion team, which is now Inter Miami, for $25 million.

Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup match against Mexican side Cruz Azul on July 21, could be Lionel Messi’s debut match for the MLS side.
