Suarez spoke about how if Neymar wanted to leave Barcelona, he and Messi suggested moving to Manchester City, rather than PSG. El Pistolero also mentioned how Neymar would have won a Ballon d’Or if he would have stayed at Barcelona.
‘If Neymar had stayed at Barcelona, he would have won a Ballon d’Or, for sure.’, Suarez said. The forward finished third in 2015 and 2017, but has not returned to the podium since moving to PSG.

Suarez also spoke about how he tried to convince Neymar to stay. Luis said, ‘We went to talk to Neymar and told him: ‘Ney, if you want to win everything, stay here’. There are all environments that are sometimes difficult to control.’
He continued, ‘We, as friends, advised him to stay, but it’s his decision, his family’s. We said: ‘Neymar, England is better. [Manchester] City, that football will be better there. But in France?’

Neymar has since tried to leave PSG and also expressed his desire to come back to Barcelona. Sadly for him though, it has not quite panned out. Neymar will be hoping that PSG beat Bayern Munich in their second leg fixture so that PSG qualifies and he gets another shot at UCL glory.
