The hosts went down early. Barely 4 minutes in the clock as NorthEast United FC gets awarded with a penalty. A bit controversial but none the less. Mohun Bagan came close to equalising before Joni Kauko fired the shot wide. The hosts got a free kick which Petratos decided to take it short. He passed it to Cummins who laid a perfect pass for Kauko only for the Finnish midfielder to fire it wide.

Past the half hour mark, Mohun Bagan came close yet again, but nothing doing. Manvir picks up a clever ball from Petratos to beat NorthEast’s defense. He glides a perfect pass only for Jason Cummins to fumble inside the box.

It takes special moments to make a comeback, Mohun Bagan did that. As the clock headed into the 45 minute mark, the Mariners made a sensational comeback. The hosts scored twice in 3 minutes to head into the break with a 2-1 advantage. Liston Coalaco equalised while Jason Cummins gave the hosts a much deserved lead.

Despite being 1-0 down, Mohun Bagan kept knocking on the door. Liston Colaco out of a quick counter attack put the ball into the back of the net to equalise. Moments Later, Mohun Bagan scored again. Petratos with a free kick found the ball bouncing in the box. Kouko headed it cleanly, only for Cummins to put the ball into the back of the net.

The second half started in a frantic fashion. Tomi Juric score his brace to equalise the game. A good header by Nestor and the star forward calmly put the ball into the back of the net.

Again within 7 minutes Mohun Bagan score twice to dictate terms. After a clever attack, Liston passed to Cummins who laid it off for Petratos to finish it home. Minutes later, a pure moment of brilliance from Sahal Abdul Samad say the midfielder score his maiden goal for Mohun Bagan.

Joni Kauko with a defense splitting pass found Sahal on the left flank. The midfielder ran towards the goal and with a clever dink foiled the goalie to score his side’s 4th goal of the night.
