Messi Mbappe: Lionel Messi has left PSG after spending two seasons with them. As he decided to join the MLS side Inter Miami, the Argentine revealed that he was unhappy at the French club. Near the end of his tenure at the club, Messi was booed by the PSG fans on several occasions. However, he still had excellent relationships with his teammates and their coach Christophe Galtier. As per reports, before leaving the club, he told Kylian Mbappe to join either Barcelona or Real Madrid soon.

When Lionel Messi left the club to make a move to the MLS club Inter Miami, he talked about his time at PSG. He said, “I had two years where I was so unhappy on a personal level that I didn’t enjoy it.” Now it has come out that before leaving PSG, he told his teammate Kylian Mbappe to leave as well. As per the Spanish outlet Defensa Central, he said, “I prefer that you go to Barca, but if you want to go to Madrid, do it, you deserve a real winning project.”
Messi did not receive a lot of love from the fans at PSG. However, he still had close relationships with his teammates and coach. This included a good bond with the PSG star Kylian Mbappe. Both players being huge stars, there were doubts that the two would not get along. However, the reality was different than that. Their bond prevailed even after the 2022 World Cup final where Messi led Argentina to a win against Mbappe’s France team. For that, when leaving PSG, Messi imparted his last bit of wisdom to his younger teammate.
Lionel Messi was brought to PSG along with Sergio Ramos in 2021 with the intention of winning the Champions League. However, they have not succeeded in their venture. Leo Messi did not enjoy his time there, which was visible in his performance as he was much less than his best. After beating France in the World Cup, when Leo Messi came back to PSG, he also did not receive a similar tribute as other World Cup-winning players in their clubs.

On top of that, PSG fans were quite hostile towards Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe near the end of the last season. Following Messi’s decision to leave the club, Ramos declared that he will be leaving as well. Additionally, there have been rumours that Neymar and Mbappe could be following suit as well. Mbappe has one more year left on his contract. He has not shown any interest in renewing that deal. As a result, the rumours of Mbappe joining Real Madrid have resurfaced again.
To this day, Lionel Messi has won countless accolades in his career. Kylian Mbappe is an incredible talent who can achieve similar greatness with time. The France team lost the World Cup final last year. However, Mbappe still scored a hattrick in that match. Considering his talent, Messi has told Mbappe to leave PSG to join Barcelona or Real Madrid. If Mbappe decides to follow Messi’s advice, there is a greater chance that he will join Real Madrid rather than Barcelona.
