According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the French club has completely denied the legitimacy of the stories by the French press. In its official statement, PSG said: “PSG confirms story is completely wrong with not a single detail being correct.” As per sources, PSG are looking to take it a step further and seek legal action against the involved parties.

Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension with PSG last summer over the transfer market has been nothing short of dramatic and controversial and these latest developments add more spice to it. As per reports earlier shared by La Parisien, the new contract offers Mbappe a whopping £156million signing bonus that will be paid over a period of 3 years even if the player leaves PSG before his scheduled time.
In terms of loyalty bonus, it stated that Mbappe will receive £61million after every year and it only increases after every passing year. The report also suggested that the player also has the option to extend his contract by 2 years.

PSG’s official statement regarding this issue reads: “In relation to the sensationalist information published by a media outlet about one of our players, PSG wish to make clear that this story is completely false and not a single detail is correct.
The timing of this information also surprises us, just one day before an important match of our team in the Champions League. PSG are not going to make any further comment on the matter. Instead of following these kinds of rumors, the club want to concentrate on this important match.”
As things stand, it appears that La Parisien have messed it up big time as sources close to Mbappe have also denied internally the figures that have appeared in the report. They might have to pay a big price if PSG eventually decides to take the legal route.
