Mason Mount Transfer: Mason Mount and his entourage have been spotted at the Manchester United training facility this Monday. He has appeared at the Carrington facility for his medical tests. Following the results of the tests, the player will be signed and unveiled as a Man United player as early as this Monday. Chelsea and the Red Devils have agreed on a £60 million fee for the midfielder. After asking for the fifth time, the Blues agreed to a £55 million fee plus £5 millions in add-ons.

Manchester United are closing in to complete their first signing of this summer transfer window. After several offers, rejections, and then negotiations, Chelsea agreed to the Red Devils’ fifth offer. The two clubs agreed on a £55 million deal with £5 million add-ons to be triggered on certain conditions. Manchester United also agreed personal terms with Mason Mount in the meantime. Following the agreements, the player has been spotted near Man United’s Carrington facility on Monday. The player will go through medical tests there.
Once the Chelsea midfielder passes his medical tests, Man United will sign and unveil him. Mount is set to join the Red Devils on a 5-year deal till 2028 with the option to trigger another year in the contract. The midfielder will earn £250,000 per week at Man United. He is coming at almost a perfect time as coach Erik Ten Hag and players are set to return from their holidays very soon. Training will soon start with their first pre-season match set to be held against Leeds United.
The match will be held in Oslo, Norway next week. Hence, it remains a doubt whether Mount will be playing as a Man United player in that match. However, it can be guessed that he will put pen to paper before this and could begin his training with them as well. Mount is coming back from an extremely mediocre season at Chelsea. He appeared in only 35 matches throughout all competitions last season. In those matches, he scored three times and provided six assists in total.

Chelsea went through a horrible season due to their inflated 31-player squad. Most players in that squad were extremely talented which caused issues for the coaches when during team selections and trainon sessions. This could have had a bad effect on Mount as he is an impressive player barring his underperforming stint last season. Additionally, he missed 13 games due to a pelvic issue which kept him sidelined till the end of the season. Regardless of these factors, he was able to attract Man United.
Mason Mount is exceptionally well during dead ball situations. He also has the energy which is needed during tight schedules near the end of the season. He could be replacing Christian Eriksen as Mount has the ability to play out wide and through the middle. Man United ended last season in 3rd place in the Premier League table qualifying for upcoming season’s Champions League. They will be looking to improve domestically and internationally. Mount can help them achieve this goal and win more.
