Mason Greenwood: Mason Greenwood updated the arrival of his and his girlfriend, Harriet Robson’s baby with a post on his social media account. The Manchester United forward was accused of assaults by the same girlfriend Robson. He was arrested as a result of those accusations. However, all charges against him were dropped in February. Following that, the couple were seen together several times and Robson was also pregnant. He has not regained his footing at Man United and could be sent away this transfer window.

Mason Greenwood recently posted a picture on his social media account announcing the arrival of his and his girlfriend’s new baby. The picture is of the baby holding his girlfriend’s hand that is on top of Greenwood’s hand. He posted the picture with only the date, ‘11.07.23’ as the caption. The date indicates that the baby was born 3 days ago on Tuesday. This was Greenwood’s first post on that social media account since January, 2022. He tagged his girlfriend Harriet Robson on the post.
Robson was the woman who accused Greenwood of assaults. Following those claims, the Manchester United forward was arrested in January 2022. There were multiple charges against him and his career spiralled down after that. Man United suspended him and he also fell out of favour with Gareth Southgate, the England national team coach. He was a promising young talent who lost his way to the top due to his alleged actions. The case went on and he faced the magistrates at the start of the year.
He was supposed to face trial sometimes later this year. However, all charges against him were suddenly dropped in February. Following this, Robson and Greenwood were seen in public as a couple a few times. There were even news that the two would soon get married with their family’s blessings. Robson was pregnant at the time and was due in this summer. The arrival of the newborn was announced with very little information. This was the baby’s very first picture and the gender of the newborn has not been revealed yet.

Even though all charges against Greenwood were dropped, Manchester United released a statement at the time. It said that they would conduct their own internal investigation. It seems the investigation is still ongoing. In the meantime, he was pictured in training with teammate Anthony Elanga. While Elanga has been put on the market, he club is yet to take a decision on Greenwood. Hence, he will remain sidelined for the time being. Although he has been linked with a move away from the club.
However, Man United have not made any solid decision on a possible sale or a loan move. He has garnered interests from Juventus, Roma, and Atalanta. On the other hand, he is yet to recover his place in the national team as well. He was featured only once for England back in September, 2020. Southgate didn’t completely rule out the possibilities of his return as he said, “He is in our thoughts. I’ve spoken with him and his club, he is a player we really like.”
