Mason Greenwood Arrest: Things are falling apart for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood who was released on bail after spending three nights in custody. Greenwood who faces charges of assault, rape, sexual assault and death threats, has already been told that he is not in Gareth Southgate’s plans for the Three Lions. According to The Sun England national team’s manager, Gareth Southgate has banned Mason Greenwood from playing for the national team until his legal issues are going on.

The 20-year-old has a history of problems with the England national team. Right after making his debut for the England national team in September 2020. The Manchester United forward along with Manchester City’s Phil Foden were sent home from Iceland after they ignored COVID protocols. Both the footballers apparently tried to sneak in four ladies inside the England hotel. They were caught and were sent back home on private jets and the FA reprimanded their casual behaviour amid maintaining COVID-19 protocols inside the hotel.
Greenwood recently was charged with assault, rape and other crimes after recording and snaps got circulated on social media of his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson.
United released a statement on Tuesday which read: “Manchester United reiterates its strong condemnation of violence of any kind. As previously communicated, Mason Greenwood will not train with, or play for, the club until further notice.”
After returning to his Cheshire home Greenwood increased the all round security around him.
The 20-year-old forward has received a lot of threats on social media as people are angry with him after the accusations. He wants no other problems so he has increased the security all around him. Greenwood has hired two new security guards to monitor the perimeter of his house 24 hours a day.
The Manchester United youngster has also installed new video surveillance equipment in his home to prevent the entry of people from outside his inner circle.
