The Manchester United star sustained a late injury with only 15 minutes left on the clock. He had to get off of the pitch as he was seen having a lot of discomfort. As he was walking down the tunnel, he was seen without a shirt and as the camera panned to a young fan in the stands, he was seen holding the Man United forward’s shirt. Manchester United have now played 3 matches in the span of 6 days and the effects started showing as Marcus Rashford suffered a groin injury. With only 15 minutes of official time left to play against Southampton, the forward tried to control a high and long-range shot. In the process, the player seemed to suffer a groin injury.

He could not shake it off and signalled to the physicians at the dugout. He knew within a few seconds that he couldn’t continue anymore and limped off of the pitch with the help of the physio. He looked like he was in pain as he walked straight down the tunnel. After he was seen getting off the ground, the camera panned to a young Man United fan in the stands.

The young boy was holding the shirt of Marcus Rashford. Afterward, as the cameras turned to show Rashford walking down the tunnel, he was seen without his shirt on his back. It was clear that the player found the time to reach for the young man and gave him his shirt before he walked down the tunnel. This surely made the kid’s day as he was seen with a big smile holding the player’s shirt.

Marcus Rashford is not only famous for his brilliant performances for Manchester United, but he also gained much fame from helping kids in need all around the country. He has helped schools by providing proper meals so that kids from a financially disadvantaged background who have to rely on those meals will not have any problems. Hence, his kindness is not surprising, rather it is delightful to see that even in a time of pain, he does not forget to find time for a lovely gesture.

He has been quite good for Man United this season and fans will be praying for his faster return as Man United are getting closer to winning some silverware. They have also reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League and the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

There has been no solid news about whether the player’s injury is serious or not. Coach Erik Ten Hag was asked about the forward’s injury status after the match. He said, “We have to wait, it doesn’t look well. Once again, it is due to the schedule… we’ve to protect our players. You cannot play 3 games in 6 days.”
