Ralf Rangnick used to work in Red Bull’s footballing empire with German club Leipzig while Haaland played for Austrian outfit Salzburg. Although Rangnick will just be a manager till the end of the season, post that he will play a crucial role in United’s decision making regarding transfers too.
Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in December 2019 for just £17m from Salzburg. It is believed Haaland has a release clause in the region of £64m in his contract next summer, which will inevitably spark interest from all of Europe’s elite.
