Manchester United players are not too happy with the Adidas jerseys, as they are too tight and the socks are tight too

Manchester United players are wearing replica kits during matches right now. According to reports, their Adidas gear is too small for them. Many reports coming out say that the players have not been too happy with the same. After receiving concerns from some of Erik ten Hag’s players, who have not worn the official home socks since the second game of the season, the kitwear manufacturer is now looking into a solution.

Manchester United players complain about jersey and socks

Andre Onana, Manchester United’s new £47.1 million acquisition, has also had concerns with his jersey. Onana had been wearing a shirt built exclusively for players, with a closer fit than those made accessible to fans. But he found it too tight and has now switched to a looser, replica version, according to sources.

The 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on October 21 is regarded to have been the breaking point for Onana. After that game, the Cameroon international asked to change his top from then on.

When David de Gea was in goal last year, there were complaints that the shirt was too baggy. Onana, on the other hand, has a broader frame than the small Spaniard, and it looks that the subsequent changes backfired.

Ten Hag and Manchester United’s kit crew have also received complaints from players that the socks are excessively tight around their calves. Some players cut holes in their socks too. But the move to fan-issue socks has been adopted as a stopgap measure since the 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on August 19.

Socks are being worn like sleeves in several clubs, with no foot part. Instead, footballers frequently wear ankle socks, which they believe provide more support and grip. Both United and Adidas refused to give any comment on this issue. It is believed that the German giant will resolve the issue over the next month. One source says that they are looking to make ‘light amendments’.

Roy Keane wants United to change Bruno Fernandes as captain

Roy Keane delivered a scathing attack on Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes following his performance in the Manchester derby.

He said, ‘After today and having watched him again I would definitely take the captaincy off him. 100 per cent. I know it’s a big decision, obviously he changed the captaincy with [Harry] Maguire, but Fernandes is not captain material.’

Keane continued, ‘I think he’s a talented player no doubt about it. But what I saw from him today; his whinging, his moaning, he’s throwing his arms up in the air constantly, it really isn’t acceptable. And what we saw today, I would take it off him.’

The hardman was not at all happy with Bruno Fernandes during the Derby. He also said, ‘Cause we’re talking about making changes, you have to start somewhere whether it’s board level, managers, I would start with that because the manager is capable of doing that and holding his hands up and saying ‘listen I got it wrong’. In terms of captain material, he’s the opposite to what I would want in a captain.’
