Potential exit on the cards for Sadio Mane – While speaking to the press ahead of the final Jurgen said, “Sadio is in the shape of his life, a joy to watch in training and in games.
“We ask a lot of him. He has had an incredibly long season, a lot of finals, and it has been so far one of the most successful seasons for him.”
But when pressed about whether Mane could leave this summer, Klopp added: “This is the wrong moment to speak about that.
“Wherever Sadio will play next season he will be a big player. Definitely.”
Sadio Mane to cap of stellar 2021/22 season –
- Sadio Mane has so far endured a stellar 2022 as he has proved his worth for club and country.
- So far in 2022, Mane has won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, African Cup of Nations, and only narrowly missed out on Premier League (PL) title.
- Another title in the form of UCL title could be the fitting farewell for Sadio Mane if he is to play in his final game for Liverpool.
- Mane also scored in the semi-final of the FA Cup as against Manchester City.

Revenge on the cards for Liverpool-
- Liverpool will try to avenge the loss of the 2018 UCL final when they were beaten by Real Madrid.
- Sadio Mane scored in the final but a brace from Gareth Bale saw Real win 3-1.
- The match will also serve as the repeat of the 1981 final, when Real were beaten by Liverpool in the Paris, which is also the same venue for this year’s competition.
- Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti are both determined to guide their team to the cusp of victory as both are serial winners of the competition.
The UEFA Champions League final will be played on Sunday, May 29 at 12:30 AM IST.
