Ryan Gravenberch moving to Liverpool

After allowing James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Fabinho to go this summer, the Reds have been looking for a new midfielder. According to The Athletic, Liverpool has decided to give Bayern £34 million in exchange for the Dutch player.

Additionally, according to the source, the former Ajax prodigy would agree to a long-term contract at Anfield. The 21-year-old is reportedly travelling to Liverpool tonight in order to attend a medical tomorrow.

Gravenberch just joined Bayern last summer after leaving Ajax, and he only made three starts the whole year. He has only made one appearance this season under manager Thomas Tuchel, when he came off the bench last weekend against Augsburg.

He made a total of 34 appearances for the Bundesliga champions in all competitions, scoring one goal. Due to his desire to play more games, the Dutchman has been determined to quit the club this summer.

The rumour claims that Jose Fortes Rodriguez was involved in the negotiations for the agreement that brought Gravenberch to Liverpool. Gravenberch played 103 times for the first team while at Ajax and was well-liked throughout that period. He contributed to 13 goals and 12 goals over this time span, earning himself a £16 million transfer to Bayern.

After winning their first three games, Liverpool is presently fourth in the Premier League. Midfielders Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru End, and Dominik Szoboszlai have already joined the team this summer.

Al-Ittihad to bid for Mohamed Salah

Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian club, is prepared to test Liverpool’s determination regarding Mohamed Salah. They are putting together an eye-watering bid of almost £118 million for their star player. Even though the club insists that he won’t be leaving. Liverpool is adamant that their star player is not for sale under any circumstances.

But if reports are to be believed then, Mohamed Salah is intrigued by the offer made. Manager Jurgen Klopp would be enraged if Salah were to leave the team this summer.

The Reds are mindful that any Mohamed Salah departure may jeopardize Klopp’s entire Liverpool operation as well as their season. However, Saudi officials have visited Europe and have heard that the player is eager to consider offers. Ahead of the Club World Cup on home soil in December, clubs in the Gulf state consider Salah as their crowning achievement.

Ramy Abbas, Mohamed Salah’s agent, officially said earlier this month that he would not be leaving Liverpool this summer. It was done in an effort to calm the club’s supporters.

When asked about a bid for Mohamed Salah last Friday, Klopp responded that there was nothing to report or discuss because no formal approach had been made. However, the Saudis are now prepared to formally pursue the Egyptian.
