According to reports, Messi made this decision without consulting PSG manager Christophe Galtier or sporting director Luis Campos. As an ambassador for the nation’s tourism board, the forward wanted to travel for business purposes. He signed a £25 million deal to advertise Saudi Arabia in May of last year, but up until this week, he had only made one trip there. The excursion has now led to a huge argument.

Following his visit to Saudi Arabia, the French sports daily L’Equipe reports that he will not have his contract renewed. He was suspended for two weeks by PSG, who were indignant with him for making the trip. During that time, he won’t participate in training or games for the French club.

Messi appeared to be carefree as he was photographed spending time with his family and children in the Kingdom. Messi was seen visiting a farm yard with his family, which included his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and boys Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5. The legendary figure from South America was seen clutching a falcon while other photos showed him stroking horses and observing wildlife intently.
The World Cup winner smiled widely in each photo while donning a white T-shirt and loose black trousers. Antonela, who was dressed in more conventional attire for the journey to the Middle East, also seemed to be having fun. Messi was playing a game with his children in the arcade where the family also stopped.

Due to his suspension, Messi will be absent from PSG’s games against Troyes and Ajaccio. For the French powerhouses this season, the World Cup winner has provided 20 goals and 19 assists throughout 37 games. In principle, he might only have three PSG games left before signing with another team because his contract expires at the end of the current season.
Messi’s next move
If the financial details of a deal can be worked out with the Spanish giants, an emotional return to Barcelona may be in the cards. Barcelona’s chiefs and Joan Laporta have also expressed their interest in bringing Leo back to the Camp Nou.
Messi has also been connected with a staggering £350 million per year transfer to the Saudi club Al Hilal. The Inter Miami team of David Beckham is rumoured to be interested in working out a deal with the former Barcelona player.
