The former PSG and Barcelona forward is popular in the US and some big celebs came to watch him play. He also scored a goal through free-kick which was a highlighting part of the debut game. It was his 700th non-penalty goal which is a huge milestone.

Messi made a fluent start to his MLS career by scoring three goals in two matches. He attracted a high-class crowd in Florida to watch the game live in the stadium. USMNT star Yedlin has revealed how Inter Miami-branded headphones were gifted by Messi to his teammates after winning against Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup. He said, “You have to ask Messi. Messi got them for the team. I don’t know if he bought them, but he gave everyone headphones for his first game.”
The 2022 World Cup winner made his debut against Cruz Azul. He came off the bench to find a winner for his club. Miami’s coach and the owner were surprised by Messi’s strike through free-kick. His 700th non-penalty strike helped Miami to win the game 2-1. In the next game, Messi bagged a brace to win another game for Inter Miami.
Inter Miami have qualified into the round of 32 of the Leagues Cup. Messi would hope to earn silverware in his debut season at Miami. Inter Miami has struggled this season but Messi’s arrival can revive this club in MLS.
