With Messi moving to the United States while Ronaldo stayed in Saudi Arabia, the chances lessened. However, reportedly, the Argentina team will play a few European teams next year in friendlies. No solid decision has been made by the AFA, but they could play against Portugal, England, Germany, or more nations.

It hasn’t been long since Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that their coveted rivalry is gone. After being at the top of the game consistently for so many years, both players have moved away from Europe. As per reports, CONMEBOL could also be announcing an inter-federation friendly cup competition with UEFA teams called the “Copa Interfederacions’. Final decisions on the cup are yet to be taken, but the short friendly cup tournament could happen that will give fans a regular way to watch Messi playing against Ronaldo.
