Lionel Messi celebrates his 36th birthday today with nothing weighing his heart and mind.

Lionel Messi 36: Lionel Messi turned 36 yesterday and fans around the world are overjoyed. The entire football community has come together to wish one of the game’s greatest footballers. As the footballer gets 1 year older on 24th June every year now, the occasion becomes bittersweet for the fans as well. As the player has won everything possible at club and country level, he is nearing the days of retirement. The World Cup winner has recently moved to the United States to join Inter Miami.

Lionel Messi celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday with a happy mind. He approached this joyous day with the happiness of winning the most covenant trophy of his career. He has everything possible in his club career with Barcelona and PSG. 

The only thing he lacked was international achievements with the national team. However, as he won the biggest international trophy, the World Cup with Argentina last year, there is nothing that weighs the man down on his birthday today.

Leo Messi will also be playing for Argentina in the Juan Roman Riquelme tribute match against Boca Juniors on 25th June. The two legendary forwards of the nation share a close bond as well as the same birthday. 

Riquelme put his tribute match on hold for four years so that Messi could play in the match. Riquelme could have formed two Boca Junior teams to play during the tribute match. However, as per his own words, Messi could not have played in that case, so they formed the Argentina team for him.

Lionel Messi, the wonder boy from Rosario, came to Barcelona at the young age of only 13 years. He rose through the ranks and started playing for the first team in 2004. The road was towards greatness with the Spanish club from there on out. He formed a close bond with club legend Ronaldinho there and learned a lot from him. He gradually won 10 La Liga and 4 Champions League trophies with them. He even won two trebles with them.
