Furthermore, it is also being said that Barcelona cannot afford to sack Ronald Koeman because of their financial restrictions and the amount of money they would have to pay to the Dutch manager if they decide to fire him.
Barcelona’s unfortunate economics have been laid exposed as they have been given just a €98million (£85m) salary cap by LaLiga for the 2021-22 season. It amounts to a seventh of Real Madrid’s €739m (£638m) allocation.

La Liga: Others shortlisted to become the new Barcelona manager:
According to El Nacional, Klopp is on their shortlist to follow Koeman with Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag and club legend Xavi Hernandez, who had been in charge of Qatari side Al Sadd since retiring in 2019.
Klopp has a contract at Anfield under 2024 and it would be a shock for him to swap Merseyside for Catalonia and inherit the chaos after six years at Liverpool.
But sacking Koeman would be even more costly than usual severance packages, as per ESport3 via Diario AS, there is a clause in his contract which states that his employers must pay €6 million (£5.1m) to him if his contract does not do not go beyond two years, having signed it in 2020.
FC Barcelona thrashed by SL Benfica
Benfica routed struggling Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday, ending a 60-year winless streak against the Catalan club and handing Barcelona a second consecutive loss to start its European campaign.
