Kylian Mbappe headed to Premier League? Fans wonder as Real Madrid rule out move

Real Madrid decide to opt out of Kylian Mbappe race as Premier League seems most likeliest option

If reports are to be believed, Real Madrid has shockingly ruled out making a move for Kylian Mbappe. Throughout the last two summer transfer windows, the Frenchman has been closely associated with the Spanish powerhouses. But, they have never found the final deal closed.

Now, reports rolling out of Spain say that Real have decided to opt out of the deal. All eyes will be on the Premier League clubs now, as only they have the financial muscle to pull off the Mbappe deal.

Kylian Mbappe playing in the Premier League in 2024?

Los Blancos thought they had an agreement in place to sign Kylian Mbappe in 2022. But Mbappe surprised them by agreeing to a two-year extension with PSG. The 24-year-old Mbappe is once again in the last year of his contract at Parc des Princes. It was pretty much expected that he would sign with Real Madrid this time.

However, Spanish publication Cadena Ser claims that the La Liga team will not pursue him. They assert that Real Madrid thinks Kylian Mbappe’s wage demands are excessively exorbitant.

The France forward is reportedly asking for at least £330,000 a week in compensation if he moved to Madrid. Jude Bellingham, on the other hand, supposedly makes £150,000 a week.

Additionally, the report states that Kylian Mbappe will be too old for the Madrid management to handle. He will turn 25 next month, and in recent transfer windows, Real Madrid has made big-money raids for younger players. Madrid’s management is reportedly concerned about a backlash from supporters against Mbappe.

The choice made by Mbappe to extend his contract with PSG two summers ago infuriated a lot of fans. Asked for comment after his side’s 3-0 Champions League win over Braga this evening, coy Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said, ‘No comment. I won’t answer this about Mbappe.’

Premier League teams will be on high alert as a result of Madrid’s stance. Liverpool apparently thinks that after six years of negotiations with Kylian Mbappe’s camp, they might seal a historic deal. Manchester United, Newcastle and Chelsea would also be likely to covet a deal. While another extension at PSG has not yet been ruled out.

Jamal Musiala identified as Mbappe replacement at Madrid

Real Madrid are said to be planning a ‘Plan B’ deal if they fail to get Kylian Mbappe next summer. This comes after the club issued a statement about Mbappe. Their statement denied that they are in talks to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star when his contract expires.

Los Blancos issued a statement that said that they haven’t had any communication with Kylian Mbappe regarding a move. Their statement said, ‘Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club. “Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.’

Real Madrid’s, Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a big fan of Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala. The former Chelsea academy star, 20, is contracted to his German club until 2026.

However, he has yet to sign a new deal. Musiala is now paid £7 million per year, but he wants three times that to stay at the Allianz Arena. However, Bayern Munich is likely to demand a high fee for a player who will be 21 years old next summer.

It’s not just Ancelotti who is interested in Musiala. Even Pep Guardiola has his eye set on the dynamic player. The City manager believes Musiala is a strong contender to succeed an aging and, as of late, injury-prone De Bruyne.

Pep Guardiola might be looking to ensure that the huge De Bruyne void is filled. Musiala would be the perfect fit for Manchester City. Bayern would be looking at fee of over 100 million.
