Arsenal ANNOUNCE arrival of Kai Havertz in long term deal from Chelsea

Arsenal and Chelsea agree on £60 million plus £5 million add ons deal for Kai Havertz. Gunners and Havertz already agreed on personal terms last week.

Kai Havertz Transfer: Arsenal has confirmed the completion of the transfer of Kai Havertz from Chelsea. The German international becomes Arsenal’s first acquisition of the summer transfer season, with prior rumours indicating that both clubs had agreed to a £65 million agreement. The German will wear the number 29 shirt once more, like he did at Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen.

Arsenal and Chelsea have agreed on a deal for Kai Havertz. Arsenal presented them a deal worth £60 million plus £5 million add ons for the forward. This was their opening offer to Chelsea and probably would have given other offers if Chelsea declined. However, in a very short time, Chelsea agreed to the deal. On Wednesday morning, both parties were close to finalising everything and reports say that the deal is now final. In the meantime, last week, Arsenal agreed on personal terms with Havertz as well.

Arsenal will initially pay Chelsea £60 million with £5 million kept as add-ons. The money will be extremely useful to Chelsea this transfer window as they are trying to shave off several players while bringing in necessary ones. With the arrival of their new owners, Chelsea went on a spending spree in both of their last winter and summer transfer window. As a result, they ended up with a bloating squad of 31 players. This rather became a problem as every coach complained about it throughout the season.

It hindered training sessions as they had many talented players in their midst and every player needed attention. It also created problems for coaches during team selection. In the end, Chelsea ended the season in 12th position in the Premier League table. Additionally, Chelsea also had a financial loss of over £120 million. Hence, they will have to recover which can be done by selling several players from their squad. On the other hand, Arsenal are looking to strengthen their team ahead of next season.

Arsenal and Chelsea agree on £65 million deal for Kai Havertz transfer, Havertz to Arsenal move is the first signing for Premier League club

Arsenal were at the top of the Premier League table for the most part of the season. However, they started dropping points near the end of the season and failed to win the title. They still ended the season in second position in the league table. Hence, they have qualified for next year’s Champions League after six years of absence from the tournament. The Gunners will be looking to come next season with new determination. For that, they prepared to bring in Kai Havertz and Declan Rice.

Arsenal have finalised the deal to bring in Kai Havertz from Chelsea on a £65 million fee. They have also presented West Ham United with two offers for Declan Rice. Last weekend, they presented West Ham with a £80 million offer which they declined. Arsenal improved on their offer and presented the Hammers with a £90 million offer. However, the Hammers have declined that as well. As Hammers are looking for a minimum of £100 million for Rice, Arsenal could be matching the price in a few days time.
