It was Roshan Singh who became the difference-maker for the Blues with a stunning freekick against the Blasters as Marco Pezzaiouli’s men extend their winning streak to eight games this season.
The German tactician was extremely delighted with Roshan Singh’s performance on the night as he heaped praises on the young right back.

Bengaluru FC had a lot less possession and lesser shots than their opponents. But they were clinical in taking their chances and finally that paid dividends. When quizzed whether it was a gameplan against the Yellow Army, Pezzaiouli replied, “The idea was to win the game. That was clear. When you see the 90 minutes, we had more chances to win the game. But it was an eager match in midfield, with a lot of second balls. But we should have scored the second goal to have more calmness at the end of the match.”
Pezzaiouli has time and again echoed his thoughts on reaching the top four and how much it means to him. With this win Bengaluru FC are finally in the top four spots temporarily but the German tactician wants his team to enjoy it has a win and forget about top four right now. He wants them to shift focus on the next game as they play three matches in the next seven days. in the end, he also lauded Kerala Blasters for their great fighting spirit.
“I think we have been doing well from the beginning of the season. We were a bit unlucky but we don’t think about the fourth position now. We think about this win. We enjoy the game, we enjoy the three points and from tomorrow onwards we focus on the next match because it’s coming soon. Just now we had three games in seven days,” Pezzaiouli explained.
“As for Kerala Blasters FC, I’ll give a big compliment to them as well. They were fighting till the end and it wasn’t easy at all after a 12-day quarantine,” he continued.
Roshan has already impressed everyone with his fantastic delivery from dead balls and also from crosses. The youngster has five assists this season and is in sensational form. But this is the first time he scored in the ISL from a freekick against the Blasters to bag all three points. Bengaluru FC head coach who is known for his prowess to develop youngsters is very pleased by the defender’s progress.
“He did well in the second half. He had created a chance in the first half for Prince Ibara. When he dribbled inside the ball, he did well but unfortunately, Danish missed the ball. It was a good combination play. He is doing well, he is training but he also needs to be normal. It’s very important as he knows he is not ready for everything yet. He needs to still improve, he is a young guy but is doing well and trying to take more steps upwards,” Pezzaiouli advised.
Lastly speaking about the mood in the Bengaluru FC dressing, Pezzaiouli highlighted how winning gives them confidence for the coming game and also helps life a little easier in the bio bubble. “The mood is very good of course as when you are winning you are getting more and more confident. But you must know that the next match is coming and we must respect the next opponents. In the next game, we start again at 0-0 and we have to give 100% effort. It’s very important when you win in the bubble as it makes it a little bit easier to enjoy a little bit of time.
