Parthib was born in Nazira, a town in Assam’s Sivasagar district, and made his debut for the Indian Arrows even before the 2020-21 season. Under head coach, Shanmugam Venkatesh, he has since become a regular in the starting lineup. In 28 performances for the AIFF’s developmental side, the 19-year-old forward scored three goals. He has also commanded the I-League side.

Gogoi has played in diverse age sides for various Indian national football teams and was instrumental in the recent SAFF U-20 Championship. The young Assamese forward led his team to the important title by scoring four goals in five games.

Parthib Gogoi, the younger brother of NorthEast United FC midfielder Pragyan Gogoi, has trained with European heavyweights Bayern Munich. Parthib is a quick-footed forward with a keen eye for goal. He is adaptable and can be used on the flanks as well. When it comes to set pieces, the youngster is lethal.
Parthib Sundar Gogoi will be joining the likes of Emil Benny and Jithin MS in trying to lead the Highlanders to a successful 2022-23 season. The addition of these young players to the squad demonstrates that the club is committed to developing a long mission under technical director Ohad Efrat.
Along with the foreigners’ experience, Parthib, Emil, and Jithin will add much-needed panache and agility to Balbul’s side. The Assamese striker will aid NorthEast United FC cement their position as one of the top teams in the ISL. He can also pick up tips from experienced forward Matt Derbyshire, who recently joined the club and implement them wherever needed.
